چکیده
This letter derives the capacity region of asynchronous multiple access channel (MAC) with faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling. We first express in frequency domain. Next, we prove that definition for finite memory MAC can be generalized to infinite MAC. The achievable rate utilizing fact achieves same calculated Our analysis shows power optimization is necessary achieve and FTN.

Asynchronous multiple-access channel capacity
The capacity region for the discrete memoryless multipleaccess channel without time synchronization at the transmitters and receivers is shown to be the same as the known capacity region for the ordinary multiple-access channel. The proof utilizes time sharing of two optimal codes for the ordinary multiple-access channel and uses maximum likeliiood decoding over shifts of the hypothesized trans...
متن کاملSecrecy Capacity Region of Binary and Gaussian Multiple Access Channels
Abstract— A generalized multiple access channel (GMAC) with one confidential message set is studied, where two users (users 1 and 2) attempt to transmit common information to a destination, and user 1 also has confidential information intended for the destination. Moreover, user 1 wishes to keep its confidential information as secret as possible from user 2. A deterministic GMAC is first studie...
متن کاملExtension of the Coverage Region of Multiple Access Channels by Using a Relay
From practical and theoretical viewpoints, performance analysis of communication systems by using information-theoretic results is important. In this paper, based on our previous work on Multiple Access Channel (MAC) and Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC), we analyze the impact of a relay on the fundamental wireless communications concept, i.e., coverage region of MARC, as a basic model for u...
متن کاملCapacity Analysis of Multiple-Access OFDM Channels
The demand of new wireless communication systems with much higher data rates that allow, e.g., mobile wireless broadband Internet connections inspires a quick advance in wireless transmission technology. So far most systems rely on an approach where the channel state is measured with the help of regularly transmitted training sequences. The detection of the transmitted data is then done under t...
متن کاملErgodic Capacity Region of Fading Gaussian Multiple Access Channels with Common Data∗
A Gaussian multiple access channel with common data is considered. Capacity region when there is no fading is known [1]. We give a characterization of the ergodic capacity region when there is fading, and both the transmitters and the receiver know the channel perfectly. Then, we provide an iterative method for the numerical computation of the ergodic capacity region.
